I was thinking of maybe trying this again, but I went over to the PAA forums and it's mostly a ghost town, at least one of my guildmates from back in the day died. Though beyond Heroic maybe, that kind of stuff wouldn't hold up in the hardest difficulty. You aren't as powerful entirely as a bear, but would be able to briefly get things under control. You might be able to do that as a Feral with Guardian Affinity as a talent. Not sure exactly what the difference is but I know even as Balance I have some basic bear and cat abilities. You can switch to cat if you are guardian with feral subspecced to do a bit more dps while you are not actively tanking, but I wouldn't count on holding up tanking as a feral spec in bearform.ĭruids can still shift to all forms no matter spec, but you may be missing some cat abilities in Bear form. Is this correct or is there not much of a difference between the two trees that it would matter to that great of a degree? It is now my understanding that now that the Cat and Bear are separate now (for the most part) that I couldn't do this anymore without going to the secondary spec which you can't do in combat anyway? So I would not be able to switch to bear and dive in and hold the aggro for a bit in a raid like I sometimes had to do since if I was in the feral tree my tanking would now be pretty terrible. I was able to main tank old Kara or switch to damage as needed per encounter (and sometimes just spam heals on the the other tank in the menagerie every now and then). Feral Druid since they hadn't split the beast forms at that time. I haven't played since Burning Crusade, and my main was a druid. Hey guys, just wanted to pop in with a question.
